The big news here at Context Institute is that we’re about to move our Bright Future Network onto a new, custom-built online platform that will significantly increase our ability to connect, communicate and collaborate.
The 350 people in the network are already an amazing group – from 34 countries on 6 continents, ages from 16 to 92, with a huge diversity of backgrounds and interests.
We all share the mission of being cultural co-evolvers who are accelerating the emergence of the Planetary Era and we all share the transformative, community-building experience of the 8-week online Bright Future Now program.
Yet we’ve only begun to tap our potential to build the new cultural patterns that are so needed and possible now. The new platform – which we call the Bright Future Commons or simply ‘the Commons’ – will enable us to really tap that potential.
It’s especially good at enabling small groups to be generative and productive while also staying well connected to the wider network. It includes features similar to the best of LinkedIn, Twitter, Google Docs and Wikipedia – all re-imagined, integrated and customized for our needs and without any commercialization. It’s pretty amazing.
I can’t wait to see what will emerge out of the Commons and the network in 2023!
