Over the years I have made big strides in learning how to keep my life in balance. Being largely in charge of my own schedule I have been able to find my best sleeping rhythm and how to vary my activities so that I can be at my freshest for each one.
I have also spent considerable time working with food. I have
gardened, first helping my mom when I was small and then on my
own when she passed away. I have cooked since I was at least four.
In the past couple years I have done a fair amount of reading
of nutrition books as well, being particularly influenced by such
books as Eat Right for Your Type, by Dr. Peter J. D'Adamo
and Catherine Whitney and Diet for a Small Planet, by Frances
Moore Lappé (1982 edition).
