Public School:

• 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th and the first half of 6th full time (ages 7, 8, 10, 11 and 12)
• I continued with my 6th grade math and science classes for the rest of the year.
• 10th grade (age 15): Biology (grade: A), Creative Writing (A), Drama 1 (A), English 10 (A), Theater (A)
• 11th grade (age 16): English 11 (A), World Classics (A)
  

Ungraded Classes with a Teacher:

• Algebra I and half of Algebra II with a local math tutor
• Astrophysics with my father (his Ph.D. is in Astrophysics)
• Intensive Dutch course taken while living in the Netherlands
  

Subjects Study Primarily on My Own or Piecemeal Over a Long Period of Time:

• Algebra II (with the assistance of text books, CD ROM programs and my father)
• Ecological Design (through reading and visiting numerous demonstration centers)
• Italian (with the help of a CD ROM and by speaking with and writing to Italians)
• Permaculture (through reading, visiting demonstration centers and taking a short course)
• World History (through reading, visiting museums, learning about current events, and speaking with people)
• The names and some of the qualities of plants and animals native to the Puget Sound region (through reading and learning from people knowledgeable in this area)
