From Virginia Boehm:

More of the Same: 2 (not likely - the breakdown has gone too far)

Disaster/Collapse: 5 but collapse is less than total, parts of system keep functioning relatively as usual, parts experience difficulties, and parts break down. Several days ago, before I'd heard of this site, I tried to make a list of what would hang together and what would not. I think collapse is a better term than disaster - while there will be small scale disasters, I just see the pain level slowly creeping up for the next 5 years or so until there's a large enough critical mass of people willing to do what is necessary to reconstruct a more workable society.

Techno/Triumph - 1 Waiting for a techno-miracle is not wise. Its like waiting for a Man on Horseback, or maybe the 2nd coming (Millennium nuts will be part of the general craziness of the next few years.) We have collectively created this mess, and collectively we must solve it, all taking responsibility, not leaving it up to someone else.

Transformation - 3 Probably, in time this will come. It may be brought about by a near-collapse of much of what we now know as society. But it won't be the first thing to occur - rebirth, like birth itself involves pain and there aren't a critical mass hurting bad enough - yet.

Hey - this is fun! Do post the result. :-)
