EcoTeam Workbook In 1990, in collaboration with the Global Action Plan for the Earth, Context Institute formulated the goals which became the official Earth Day 1990 "Agenda for the Green Decade," then co-authored, designed, and edited the Household EcoTeam Workbook. The workbook translates the global goals into individual actions which small groups of homeowners and tenants can implement over a six-month period to make their consumption patterns - including energy and water use, solid waste, and transportation - more environmentally sustainable. The workbook has been translated and adapted for use in the Netherlands, Norway, Canada, Sweden, Great Britain, Switzerland, and Germany. Eco-Village Report In 1991, we completed a contract to survey eco-villages and sustainable communities throughout the world, looking particularly for the kinds of supporting services and programs that are helpful to developing communities. We studied many key areas: leadership; communication of values; ownership and economics; architectural design; energy, waste, and water; agriculture and animal husbandry; recreation, the arts, and celebration.
